7Th semester...practical is here.....arrrr! it’s a kind scary word I guess. I wonder how fast time has passed. It was just like our second semester and now here we are. Unbelievable but true. There are a lot of things to be settled. It’s like the 5W1H question, Why, Where, What. Who, and How. Where are we going to go for our practical??? I guess we don’t have a choice unless we are sick or getting married soon as dr. Jaya said. Why are going for this practical? Now that’s a hard question to ask and to answer. I feel what Che Pah said was true. Practical would determine if we are going to be future teachers. These 12 weeks is going to be a test on our capability, strength, luck, patients, passion and style. At the end of this practical everyone would have a clear outlook of their future.
What are we going to do during our practical? This question has a very lengthy answer i guess. We have not gone deep into this question yet. So i guess we would have another session with him discussing this matter. Who am I going to do my practical with? Dr.Jaya has just made our lives much easier by giving a chance to choose our partner. This really helped as it would be easy for us to arrange our accommodation and transportation. Lastly, how are we going to do our practical? I think answer for this question is been given by Che pah every week! What kind of teacher you want to be? What style of teaching you want to use? This is the question that really makes you think “ Oh my God, I am a teacher! “
Now days are getting near and preparation should start from now i guess. There are lots n lots of things to be done. Practical here I come !

The Yin Yang week !
Dr. Jaya’s class has always been something that I look forward. It is in his class I realise we are teachers and we should train ourselves to be teachers who are meant to be going to HEAVEN. The journey in this semester started with the Yin Yang concept. That’s my interpretation of what I saw. The two songs that were played had a deep meaning and it really gives us a chance to love music once again. Alehandro with its explicit scenes may have made some to open wide their eyes, but it surely made the others to close their eyes and open their ears. The music itself has its own strength to capture the mind and divert our soul towards the ladies words.
On the other hand, Sain Zahoor’s music did steal the evening. I felt that music made my day. I believe when it comes to God, worships done in any language would reach everybody. When it comes to God, you can understand him in any language, even that’s the first time you are listening the language. I felt honoured to be given the chance to listen such a wonderful piece.
Both these songs had their strength and weaknesses but both songs had values that can be explained to students. I prefer to use the Sain Zainoor’s in my class as this would be more appropriate in our Malaysian school context. Alehandro song can be used but it’s better for students doing higher education. On the whole my first week was a blast! The Yin Yang week was superb.
